At Rainbow Shade NZ we are a passionate family-owned boutique supplier to the New Zealand outdoor shade and screen trade. Proudly based in sunny Hawke’s Bay, we work hard for our customers.
With strong industry expertise behind us, we have first-hand experience of what it takes to provide protection from the strong Kiwi sun as well as enjoying outdoor living protected from wind and rain.

An outdoor fabric and screen supplier, Rainbow Shade has been running since the late 1990s. We began with shade cloth and quickly expanded to include sales of eXtreme 32, Z16 and DriZ fabrics, and more recently the Mehler PVC range, the Visiontex range, as well as high quality componentry such as Ziptrak®, Simu motorisation, Fidlock fasteners and others.

At Rainbow Shade we are proud to support the growth and development of the New Zealand Outdoor Fabrics industry through our membership with Advanced Textiles Association (ATA) New Zealand and the international Advanced Textiles Association (ATA).
Each year we sponsor the annual ATA NZ Conference & Awards, a great way to stretch yourself and lift the profile of your business. We regularly support ATA NZ in other ways too, including supporting the Cutting Edge quarterly magazine.
